“Kia ora, I’m Kat. Paraparaumu has been home to my young family for the past six years.
“I’m passionate about strengthening community connections, protecting our environment, and creating inclusive public spaces.
“I bring experience from both public and private sectors – including finance, education, design, electricity, and forestry. These roles taught me to consider a wide range of views, find ways to make things happen, and deepened my commitment to informed, people-focused decision-making.
“I care about listening and making sure local decisions reflect what our communities need. My background in human-centered design means I know how to work alongside others to shape services that really work. I’m keen to protect our natural spaces, make public areas welcoming for everyone, and champion equity and inclusion.
“I’m standing because I care deeply about this place, its people, and our joint future. I’d be honoured to have your support.”
