Candidate – Waikanae Ward
“Since I’ve been elected, as a Community Board chair, I’ve helped deliver improvements to advocate and support our communities of Waikanae, Reikorangi and Te Horo.

“I have a record of strong clear communication, that was lacking previously. I want to get value out of our rates, with prudent management of council spending. I saw the upgrade for Te Horo Beach change-rooms, outdoor shower, picnic area and environmental murals, celebrated by Local Government NZ.
“I’ve supported Waikanae Library rebuild, Te Ara Whetū which will be our community hub, due for completion in 2026. I secured funding for community residents’ associations and our historic Te Horo Hall. I’ve advocated for better public transport, protection of our coastal environment, predator control, and improved management of our waterways to mitigate road flooding.
“I’m a skilled communicator, listen and stand up for residents’ issues. I’ve led community consultation about anti-social road users, and safe CCTV.”
