Candidate Statement – Penny Gaylor

Candidate – Greater Wellington Regional Council

Penny Gaylor, Candidate for Greater Wellington Regional Council

“I ask for your support to be re-elected. Being a single voice and vote for Kāpiti takes skill, dedication, and experience from a local with their feet on the ground.

“Regional rates must deliver real value. I’ll continue to advocate for smarter spending and practical results.

“We live in the best part of the Wellington region. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved, but there’s more to do. I’ve delivered, and will keep fighting for, investment in flood protection, pest control, and restoring our rivers and wetlands — including Queen Elizabeth Park. Protecting our natural environment is vital for our economy, lifestyle, and future generations.

“I’ve worked hard to secure new train services for Ōtaki and electric buses in Kāpiti.

“Building the new trains starts soon, and will provide six services a day for Ōtaki, and for the first time ever there will be weekend services.

“Penny Gaylor – proven local track record.”

All candidates are offered the opportunity to submit a profile and photo for the position they are standing for.
