Police say they can now confirm the name of the man who died following a crash on SH1, Manakau on 22 July.
He was David John Janssens, 72, from Ōtaki Beach.
“Police offer our condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time.
“Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing,” say Police.
On the 22nd Police reported one person had died following a crash on State Highway 1, Manakau.
Emergency services had been called to the collision involving a car and a motorcycle, near Whakahoro Road just before 10:20am.
The motorcyclist died at the scene. A second person sustained minor injuries.
