Police report one person has died following a serious crash on State Highway Two, Maharahara.
Emergency services received a report of the two-vehicle crash at around 5.05pm Friday evening.
Sadly, despite best efforts from emergency services, one person died at the scene.
Two others have received moderate to serious injuries.
The road remained closed while the Serious Crash Unit conducted a scene examination.
