Police say they are now in the position to name the man who died following a crash on Seafront Road, Castlecliff on 25 May.
He was 25-year-old Paki Topi Rongo Whiti-ao Maaka Ngaira, from Castlecliff.
Police have extended condolences to Mr Ngaira’s family and friends during this difficult time.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
