A Police spokesperson says they can now release the name of the man who died in a crash in Bunnythorpe near Palmerston North on 9 April.
He was 36-year-old Jeferson Alas Nebab, from Raumati South.
“Police extend our condolences to his loved ones at this difficult time. Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.”
Another person was seriously injured after a crash which involved a truck and van near Palmerston North.
Police reported to the crash at about 10.10am at the intersection of Newbury Line and Te Ngaio Rd.
Mr Nebab, the driver of the van, died at the scene and the passenger of that vehicle was hospitalised with serious injuries.
The truck driver was uninjured.
