Paraparaumu Beach, Kāpiti Coast – As Mother’s Day approaches during a time when many families are feeling the pinch, local business Copperfield Collective is turning the spotlight onto love, gratitude, and the little things that truly matter.
From Thursday, 1st May 2025, Copperfield Collective is inviting children aged 6 to 13 to write a handwritten letter answering the question: “Why is your mum the BEST mum in the world?” Each letter will be proudly displayed on the store’s Mother’s Day Letter Wall, honouring mums in a heartfelt and meaningful way.
“This isn’t about big spending — it’s about big love,” says co-owner Kamni Raju-Russell. “We wanted to give families a way to celebrate Mother’s Day that doesn’t cost anything but means everything. Especially during these challenging times, it’s the simple, genuine gestures that truly shine.”
Children who submit a letter will go in the draw to win a $50 Copperfield Collective voucher — the winner will be drawn on Mother’s Day, Sunday 11th May.
Letters must be:
- Handwritten by the child (maximum one A4 page)
- Include the child’s first name, age, and a contact number for a parent or guardian
- Dropped off in-store at 17 Seaview Road, Paraparaumu Beach
- Submitted by midday on Saturday, 10th May
All entries will remain on display until the end of May, giving the community time to come in, read the beautiful messages, and celebrate the incredible mums around them.
