A 75-year-old man has been arrested in relation to the death of a woman in Raumati Beach, Kāpiti today.
Detective Senior Sergeant Christiaan Barnard says the man has been charged with murder and will be appearing in the Porirua District Court tomorrow morning.
He says Police are not seeking anyone else in relation to the woman’s death.
Senior Sergeant Christiaan says residents can expect to see a continued police presence in Westgate Drive until Friday, as they conduct a scene examination.
He says as the matter is now before the Court, Police can make no further comment at this time.
Police launched the homicide enquiry following the death of a 70-year-old woman at the property on Westgate Drive in Raumati Beach this morning.
