Norma McCallum honoured for community work
June 2015
By Destination Waikanae
Norma McCallum QSM celebrates with husband Lindsay

We are so delighted, Norma, that all your tireless work over 40 years for Waikanae has been recognised!

Norma McCallum has been awarded the Queen's Service Medal for Services to the Community - working relentlessly to promote and keep Waikanae beautiful; working with business owners to plant and enhance streets and commercial premises, supporting other volunteer organisations keeping our beaches clean and planting in our beautiful reserves.....there are far too many achievements, spanning Norma's time as Chair of the Waikanae 2000 group from 1994 right up to the present, to mention in one short post; We think you are quite wonderful, Norma!

And thank you, Lindsay, for being Norma's "rock" and encouraging her to keep going - and telling her when to slow down a bit! Very best wishes to you both.
